My Sun

Never thought I would write a poem for someone,
Yet here I am, for the love of my life, my sun.

It is you I see everywhere,
In all I see, it is you.

I am in love with the most beautiful girl i know,
And I told my heart, my love did grow.

I hushed my heart for a while,
Yet it grew quietly with a smile.

Your smiles sunned my darken days,
Lit my heart with golden rays.

A storm I know keeps brewing, then will rise,
Kept my love anchored to your skies.

Love grew both day and night,
With the storm, sweeping away my delight.

And in the morning glad I see,
My love still lives inside me.

Though I am chained unto the storm,
Closer to my sun, yet far from.

I am not a poet. 🕊
I know heartbreak 💔 is an excellent path for poets to express their feelings.
I love what William Blake wrote in Songs of Innocence & of Experience.

I don't mean to copy William Blake.
I am just inspired.
